Below you will find a general overview of FTCE registration info and testing fees, as well as a list of FTCE computer-based testing center locations.
For current 2021-22 Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) administrations, testing is available year-round by appointment, Monday through Saturday, based on available dates. Registration must be completed online at www.fl.nesinc.com.

The costs for the FTCE General Knowledge Test differ slightly from the FTCE subject area exams. For the FTCE General Knowledge Test, the testing fee is $130 for your first attempt and $150 for any subsequent taking of the exam. It costs the same amount no matter how many subject areas of the test you intend to complete, so for most test-takers, it makes sense to try to pass all four subtests in one sitting.
Each subject area of the exam is individually timed: you will receive 50 minutes for the Essay subtest, 40 minutes for the ELS subtest, 55 minutes for the Reading subtest, and 1 hour and 40 minutes for the Math subtest. Do note, however, that if you do take all four subtests in a single session, you will receive a 15-minute break. We recommend taking a full-length practice test and timing yourself on each subtest to get a better idea of your individual pace before registering.
For the FTCE Elementary Education K-6 (060) Test, the testing fee is $150 for your first-attempt (which all includes all four subtests), and it is $37.50 per subtest for any subsequent attempt. The test is comprised of four subject area subtests: Language Arts & Reading, Social Science, Science, and Mathematics. Each subtest is made up of between 50 and 60 multiple choice questions, and you are given between 1 hour and 5 minutes and 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete each subtest. If you take 3 or more subtests in a single session, you will receive a 15-minute break.
