Choosing the right Praxis test date is extremely important. Passing the Praxis is typically required prior to student teaching and is a primary method by which many candidates meet the subject matter competence requirement necessary for receiving a teaching credential. Make sure you also allow time to retake the test if you do not achieve a passing score on your first attempt. You may retake the exam as many times as needed to achieve a passing score, but keep in mind that the testing service rules require that you must wait 21 days (not including your initial test date) from the date you took the test to retake a test or subtest.
